bulletSpring 2004 -- Co-hosted (with Barnegat Bay Estuary Program) the 8th annual Barnegat Bay Festival on June 5, 2004.  Reprinted historic map of Barnegat Bay for sale to public.

bulletWinter 2003-2004 -- Awarded a $6,000 grant from The Conservation Fund to establish a low maintenance landscaping demonstration project at Ocean County College. This educational project will illustrate how to landscape with environmentally friendly grasses, shrubs and trees.

bulletFall 2003 -- Awarded a $5,000 grant from The Watershed Institute Grants Program, which was made possible by funding from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.  BBWEF will use the grant for an individual and corporate membership initiative. 

bulletSpring 2003 -- Created Barnie the Crab curriculum for education in the elementary schools; Held Sixth Seminar in April 2003; Co-hosted (with Barnegat Bay Estuary Program) the 7th annual Barnegat Bay Festival on June 7, 2003

bulletFall 2002 -- Hired Grant Writer; Co-sponsored (with Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions) a Seminar on Septic Management for Clean Water, November 19, 2002

bulletSpring 2002 -- Participated in the Barnegat Bay Festival on Saturday, June 8, 2002, including holding a "Dedication of the Waters" ceremony; Held Fifth Seminar in May 2002; Held Annual Meeting in May 2002 at which the "Guardians of the Barnegat Bay" 26 minute video was shown

bulletWinter 2001-2002 -- Had 44 new "Barnie" watershed signs (with our new logo) made as part of a grant; Advertised for Grant Writer

bulletFall 2001 -- Chose new logo; Began implementing comprehensive business plan; Began planning to carry out parts of the CCMP Action Items and submitted grant applications

bulletSpring 2001 -- Coordinated promotional materials, exhibitors/vendors, and field trips for this year's Barnegat Bay Festival, Saturday, June 9, 2001Held a "Dedication of the Waters" ceremony as part of the Barnegat Bay Festival; Held Fourth Seminar in May 2001;  Sponsored a logo design contest for the BBWEF

bulletFall 2000 and Spring 2001 -- Developed a comprehensive business plan for the BBWEF's new role

bulletJune 21, 2000 -- Third Conflict Resolution Seminar was held, on Flushing in the New Millennium: Wastewater Reuse and Conservation

bulletSpring 2000 -- Public recognition of Lacey, Jackson, Plumsted, Lakewood and Millstone Townships for their positive watershed initiatives

bulletMay 1, 2000 -- Barnegat Bay Personal Watercraft Task Force issues its Summary and Action Plan

bulletMarch 21, 2000 -- BBWA board votes to become BBWEF and, with the support of Ocean County, position itself to be the lead non-profit entity in implementing the CCMP for the Barnegat Bay Estuary Program

bulletSummer 1999 -- Received grant from the Barnegat Bay Estuary Program for Municipal Outreach and Recognition Project, the purpose of which is to reach out to the municipalities of the watershed to remind them that we are all one watershed community, and to recognize exemplary watershed projects they are already doing and inspire other towns to adopt these model practices

bulletMay 18, 1999 -- Second Conflict Resolution Seminar was held, on Urban Sprawl in the Watershed -- Is it time to say enough is enough?

bulletMay 1999 -- Sponsored "The Wonders of our Watershed" photographic exhibit by Edward Schwartz

bulletSpring 1999 -- Received 2 grants from the Barnegat Bay Estuary Program to produce Barnie Waterfront Access signs to remind people that they are in the Barnegat Bay watershed and they need to help keep the water clean

bullet1999 -- Produced Barnie T-Shirts to enhance public awareness of the importance of water quality in the watershed

bullet1999 -- Barnegat Bay Personal Watercraft Task Force was formed

bulletMay 1998 -- First Conflict Resolution Seminar was held, on Personal Watercraft Conflicts

bulletMarch 1997 -- Received grant from the Barnegat Bay Estuary Program to design, produce and install watershed boundary signs ("Barnie" signs).  This was our first public consciousness raising project.
